What exactly is 'link equity' and how does it flow?

I keep hearing 'link equity' and 'PageRank flow' — can someone explain this in plain English? And how does LinkJuice make it visible?

Think of link equity like water in a network of pipes. Every page starts with some. When page A links to page B, it shares some of its equity with B. Pages with many inbound links from strong pages accumulate more equity. Google uses this signal to determine how important/authoritative a page is.

Great analogy. LinkJuice makes this visible by running the full PageRank calculation on your internal link graph and showing you each page's score. You can literally see which pages are draining equity (lots of outbound, few inbound) and which are accumulating it.

Quick tip for anyone confused about orphans: filter out your pagination pages first (URLs with ?page= or /page/2/ patterns). These often show as orphans because the canonical points away from them, but they're not really missing links — they're just correctly de-indexed. Focus the orphan fix on unique content URLs only.
