Should I use Spider mode or List mode in Screaming Frog for LinkJuice?

I see two crawl modes in Screaming Frog: Spider and List. Which one gives the best All Inlinks export for use with LinkJuice?

Spider mode — always. List mode only crawls URLs you feed it, so you'll miss discovered pages and internal links between them. Spider mode follows links naturally and gives you the full picture.

Exactly right. Spider mode is the only way to get a complete internal link graph. After the crawl finishes: Bulk Export → Links → All Inlinks. That's the file LinkJuice needs.

Just to add to what's been said — I ran into the same issue last month. The key for me was checking the crawl was set to JavaScript rendering mode. That doubled the number of links Screaming Frog found and the LinkJuice PageRank shifted noticeably for several pages.

One thing I'd add: even if the scores look confusing at first, sort by PageRank descending and compare the top 10 against your GA4 sessions. The correlation is usually clear. High-traffic pages should also have high internal PageRank — if they don't, you've found a real problem.
